The South Coast Woodturners Club is a non-profit club dedicated to facilitating the art and craft of woodturning. The Club aims to provide education, instruction, and information through a series of presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on classes for all members interested in developing their skills as woodturners. The Club is currently developing programs for two different levels of expertise - basic to intermediate, and intermediate to advanced.
The South Coast Woodturners Club serves the woodturning community on the South Coast region of Oregon, including the communities of Coos Bay, North Bend, Coquille, Bandon, Reedsport, Winchester Bay, Gardner, and many other small rural areas.
We meet at 9:00 AM on the second Saturday of each month at the Harding Building of Marshfield High School, Coos Bay, in the woodshop. The Harding Building is located below Marshfield High School on 7th Street. Park behind the building near the football/track fields. Visitors should enter the woodshop through the door at the northwest corner of the building, which is the back side away from 7th Street. Visitors are welcome. You don't have to be a current woodturner to learn about woodturning. Come check us out!
